What do we do with the ingredients in the Culinary Honey?

All of our ingredients are 100% natural, culinary grade herbs, spices and florals, so they are safe to eat (we recommend not eating the star anise and cardamom pods though). Simply stir the ingredients into the honey before use and drizzle over food or spoon into tea. Another way to keep the ingredients mixed is store the jar upside down, making sure the lid is properly closed before doing so. The longer the ingredients remain in the jar, the more intense the flavors become.

However, if you do not want to eat or keep the ingredients in the jar, you can always strain them out by using cheesecloth. Once you have them in the cheesecloth, tie the cloth and use the ingredients as a tisane (herbal tea) or throw them in the compost bin.
