How To Cook with Honey

A couple of things to keep in mind when using honey is to:
- Measure honey carefully as it is heavier than liquids - one cup of honey weighs 12 oz, not 8oz
- For baked goods, reduce the oven temperature by 25°F to prevent over-browning
- Reduce any liquid called for by 1/4 cup for each cup of honey used and add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda for each cup of honey used if baking soda is not already included in the recipe.
Cooking with honey takes practice, so don't be discouraged if you don't get it right the first time.
